Criteria for Abstract Submission

You are cordially invited to submit scientific abstracts for inclusion in the scientific programme of the Singapore Primary Care Conference 2023. Abstract submission deadline is 31 October 2022. Be part of the 2023 sessions – start submitting your abstracts now.

OBJECTIVES OF RESEARCH COMPETITION

The SPCC research competition aims to encourage greater collaboration and recognise quality work in Primary Care research, while supporting the research efforts of Family Physicians, Nurses, Allied Health, Administrators, Family Medicine residents, students and Inter-professional teams in Primary Care.

ABSTRACT TOPICS

Abstracts will be categorised under the following topics for review and programming purposes. Presenters are requested to select the topic under which their abstracts belong:

  • Transformation in Primary Care
  • Primary Care Mental Health
  • Education in Primary Care
  • Interprofessional Collaboration
  • General Primary Care (Others)

CORRESPONDENCE

Authors and co-authors information must be provided in full, including the first/last names of all authors, their department, institution/hospital, city, state (if applicable) and country.

Abstracts must contain original scientific data collected by the author(s). All abstracts will be reviewed by the Scientific Committee.

ABSTRACT SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

  1. Topic of abstract should be relevant to Primary Care or Family Medicine.
  2. Abstract must be submitted in English.
  3. Abstract title should be concise and indicative of its content.
  4. Details of authors should be given in accordance to descending order of contribution (from most to least).
  5. The presenting author must be indicated in the abstract submission form.
  6. Abstract should be submitted before the submission deadline: 31 October 2022
  7. Fill in the appropriate sections (Aims, Methodology, Results and Conclusion) of the abstract and structure the text using the following headings:
    • State Aim(s) of study
    • State Method(s) and subject used, as relevant
    • Summarise Result(s) obtained
    • State Conclusion(s) reached. It is not satisfactory to state, “The result will be discussed.“
  8. Abstract should not exceed 250 words.
  9. The use of standard abbreviations is acceptable. Place special or unusual abbreviations in brackets after the full word the first time it appears. Use numerals to indicate numbers, except to begin sentences.
  10. The use of tables, graphs and other types of images in abstract is not permitted.
  11. Abstract will be reproduced exactly as submitted.
  12. Abstract not adhering to the above will not be considered.
  13. Abstract previously presented (or future plans to do so) at another international scientific meeting ONCE, can also be submitted for this conference for consideration. However, those papers that have been published will not be accepted. Abstracts that have been published can still be accepted.
