Dr James Cheong

Family Physician, C3 Family Clinic @ Aljunied Crescent; Clinical Sub-Lead

Dr James Cheong is a Family Physician at C3 Family Clinic at Aljunied Crescent and visiting General Practitioner (GP) partner at Institute of Mental Health (IMH). He serves as a Clinical Sub-Lead in Central North Primary Care Network and is a member of the National Healthcare Group (NHG)-General Practitioner Panel. He is also a member of the National GP Advisory Panel. He has many years of experience in primary care practice, serving in GP clinics, NHG polyclinics, nursing homes and urgent care.

Besides clinical work, Dr Cheong is an advocate of medical education. He is a faculty member of the College MMed(FM) programme, a tutor for GDFM, and clinical GP tutor to medical students from the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine. Dr Cheong is also a certified ACP Trainer, and works with AIC to train community partners in General ACP and the Preferred Plan of Care. Dr Cheong is interested in community medicine, care integration as well as chronic disease and complex care, which will be pivotal to the Singapore population health efforts.
